Duties
  • Support patrons in understanding and operating laundry machines
  • Educate patrons on laundry sorting, fabric care, and folding techniques
  • Encourage conversations around other life skills (e.g., cleanliness, time management, self-care)
  • Maintain a respectful, trauma-informed, and non-judgmental approach to engagement
  • Monitor laundry facility cleanliness
  • Transport patron’s items to the laundry mat (e.g., wagon, cart, trolley)
  • Collaborate with staff to identify patrons who may benefit from additional support or referrals
