Role Overview

Location: Pickering, Ontario (Remote / Hybrid)
Position Type: Volunteer

Afiwi Groove School is seeking a detail-oriented Volunteer Program Impact & Evaluation Lead to help measure and communicate the impact of our programs. This role will focus on collecting data, evaluating program outcomes, and helping the organization demonstrate its impact to the community, partners, and funders.

The Program Impact & Evaluation Lead will work closely with program coordinators and leadership to ensure that Afiwi’s programs are effectively meeting the needs of youth and the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and support program evaluation frameworks to measure the effectiveness of Afiwi programs.
  • Design and implement participant surveys, feedback forms, and evaluation tools.
  • Collect and analyze data on program participation, engagement, and outcomes.
  • Track and document youth achievements, program milestones, and community impact.
  • Prepare impact summaries and reports to support grant applications, reports to funders, and organizational planning.
  • Work with the communications team to help translate program data into impact stories and key highlights.
  • Provide recommendations to improve program effectiveness based on evaluation findings.
  • Support the development of annual impact reports.

Qualifications

  • Experience in program evaluation, research, community program assessment, or data analysis.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to design surveys, collect feedback, and interpret data.
  • Strong written communication skills for reporting and documentation.
  • Interest in youth development, arts education, and community programming.

Assets

  • Experience with nonprofit program evaluation or community-based research.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Google Forms, Excel, Airtable, or survey platforms.
  • Experience supporting grant reporting or impact measurement.
  • Background in education, social sciences, or program development.

Time Commitment

  • Approximately 3–5 hours per week
  • Additional time may be required during program cycles or reporting periods.
